We are located between Barote valley in the north and Joginder Nagar, Kangra valley in the south. World famous Bir–Billing, the second highest Paragliding sight is 7 KM west of Wild Orchid Trail Cottages. We are situated on the same ridge as Billing.
This place is a paradise for paragliders as hot air comes up from the valley. We are about two hrs away from Mandi and one and a half hours from Bir.
Wild Orchid Trail is surrounded by Cedar wood trees with plenty of Rhododendron trees in the jungle. Rhododendron flowers bloom in March through April and the whole mountain ridge turns red — hence the name Phuladhar (Ridge with flower). We also have wild Orchids in the jungle during monsoons.

Welcome to "WILD ORCHID TRAIL COTTAGES". We are a Boutique resort nestled in the Himalayas in the lap of the mighty Dhuladhar range, surrounded by pristine cedar wood forest at an altitude of 2176 metres above sea level. As an avid traveller, the founder personally fell in love with village home stays. Coming to this valley was love at first sight, and that's how the idea of Wild Orchid Trail was born.
The second highest paragliding site in the world is just 7 km west of Wild Orchid Trail Cottages. We are situated on the same ridge as Billing, making this a paradise for paragliders — hot air rising from the valley carries them effortlessly upward.
Wild Orchid Trail is surrounded by Cedar wood trees with abundance of Rhododendron. They bloom from March through April, turning the entire mountain ridge red — hence the name Phuladhar. During monsoon, wild Orchids appear in the jungle.
